He was married to Florence Sanderson in 1902, and they moved to Pateros in 1906, where he had since resided. Mr. Mansfield was a charter member of the Pateros Methodist church, the Brewster Odd Fellows lodge and served for a number of years as mayor of Pateros. For the past 25 years, he was employed by the Methow-Pateros Growers. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Ruth Mansfield of Clarkston and Ruby Mansfield of Cashmere; three sons, Richard W. Mansfield of Oakland, R.E. Mansfield of Okanogan and Charles O. Mansfield of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Chester of Bonfield, Ill.; two brothers, Roland E. Mansfield of Sedro Woolley and E. E. Mansfield of Davenport; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Pateros Methodist church, with the Rev. Stewart Sparrow officiating. Pallbearers will be J. L. Cooper, R. L. Cook, Walter Graham, Blaine Hodgen, C. J. Steiner, and Charles Miller. The member of the Brewseter-Pateros Odd Fellows lodge will be honorary pallbearers. Burial will be in the Bridgeport cemetery. The Smith funeral home of Pateros is in charge of arrangements.
