Description	:	Josephine Arthur was born in Jo Daviess County, IL, the daughter of Richard and Jane (Wills) Arthur. January 22, 1867, she married Thomas E. Rick. Josephine and Thomas farmed in the White Oak Springs, WI area for several years then moved to Franklin County, Iowa. Sometime in the early 1900's, Josephine and her family moved to South Dakota, remaining there until her death. The 1910 census states Josephine gave birth to 7 children, 2 surviving until adulthood. The Galena Daily Gazette, IL, paper for May 31, 1889, printed an obituary for her daughter Rena May Rick,...
