Josephine Augusta Burgess, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Burgess, was born in Iowa May 26, 1865, and had resided in this state all her life, much of the time in this vicinity, so she was considerably known at Eddyville. Josephine Augusta Burgess, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Burgess, was born in Iowa May 26, 1865, and had resided in this state all her life, much of the time in this vicinity, so she was considerably known at Eddyville. She is survived by her parents, and four brothers William, Verne, John and Clarence and three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Pike, of Kirkville, Etta, of Nebraska and Villa, of Chillicothe. The funeral services were held by Rev. Geo. Filmer, of Fremont, Sunday, afternoon at the M. E. church in Chillicothe, of which she was a member. Burial was made at Chillicothe.
