JOSEPHINE HALL BURIED ON TUESDAY Mrs. Josephine Cullen Hall, member of Somerset County pioneer families and one of the community's most highly respected matrons, died in the McCready Hospital, where she had been a patient for some weeks, last Sunday morning. She was 78 years of age. Mrs. Hall was born in Crisfield, the daughter of the late Jacob B. and Melissa Ward Cullen. She was the widow of the late William C. Hall, who died a number of years ago. She was a woman of charm and pleasing personality, whose interest in family, friends and neighbors was a cheerful and helpful interest. She looked for the best in everyone and in turn gave a warm friendship which was loyal and of high value. During her long life she had been active at various times in church work and community affairs, giving her time and talent liberally to good works. She was generous and charitable, a splendid woman of culture and refinement, who enjoyed the best things in life and endeavored to improve those things which were not so good. In her death, a fine person has been called to rest. Funeral services were held in her home on Main street Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. A. B. Frye, pastor of Immanuel Methodist Church, assisted by Dr. J. Yancey Fincher, pastor of the Marion Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in the family lot in the Crisfield Cemetery. Bearers were Eugene Wharton, Lionel Bennett, Elmer Ward, William Sterling, Woodrow Ward and Wilbert J. Coulbourne. Surviving her is one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Monroe Reed, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Wyatt and Mrs. Pearl Muir, all of Crisfield, and a niece, Mrs. Nicholas S. Riggin of Wilmington, Del.
