Description	:	Mrs. Josephine Bedwell, wife of Thomas J. Bedwell, died at their home in Indianola, Sunday morning, September 17th, after a lingering illness of many weeks. She had been a patient sufferer all the long summer and the end came peacefully in the beginning of the new day. She was born near Prole, in Warren county, August 3, 1859, and was fifty-seven years, one month and fourteen days old at the time of her death. Bedwell, died at their home in Indianola, Sunday morning, September 17th, after a lingering illness of many weeks. She had been a patient sufferer all the long summer and the end came peacefully in the beginning of the new day. She was born near Prole, in Warren county, August 3, 1859, and was fifty-seven years, one month and fourteen days old at the time of her death. She was married to Mr. Bedwell, July 3, 1880, and was the mother of nine children, eight of whom living, one having died in infancy. In April, 1888, she was received into the fellowship of the Spring Hill Baptist church and baptized by Rev. Bovell and has endeavored to live a consistent christian life. In her last illness she was much in prayer to her Lord and often expressed a desire to s _ _ er His good will and pleasure, in either living and suffering here or departing and be at rest. She leaves her husband and eight children: Lille A. Randolph, of Des Moines; Elizabeth J. Simmerman, of Milo; Amanda G. Evans, of Des Moines; Ada L. Henderson, of Winterset; Thomas L., of Winterset; Clara F. Lucas, of Indianola; Oral R., of Derby; and Gerald, of Indianola. There are also fourteen grandchildren, one brother and one sister living in Nebraska. The funeral was held Tuesday forenoon in the Spring Hill Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Benj. F. Tilley, pastor of the First Baptist church of Indianola.
