GEORGE KOZISEK Mrs. George Kozisek died at her home near Bruno on Tuesday evening Dec. 20, 1932, following a serious illness of over a year’s duration with chronic nephritis and complications, during which time she was bedfast since last June. Funeral services were held on Friday morning from the home to St. Anthony’s Catholic church in at Bruno at ten o’clock. Rev. Father Kvitek said the Requim Mass and conducted the services for the dead. Interment was in St. Anthony’s Catholic cemetery. The pallbearers were six sons of the deceased: Frank, Joseph, William, Charles, Louis and Fred. Josephine Jindrich was born in Plzen, Czechoslovakia, on March 15, 1862, the daughter of Vaclav Jindrich and Barbara Koza Jindrich. When the Jindrich immigrated to the United States in 1865, they located at Yuba, Wisconsin. In 1883 Josephine Jindrich cam to Butler county where she had since resided. Her marriage to George Kozisek took place at the Appleton church on Nov. 4, 1884. They were the parents of seven sons and two daughters who with their father survive her and were present at the funeral. The sons are Frank of Utica, Fred and Joseph of Brainard, William of Chapman, and Charles, Louis and James of Bruno. The daughters are Mrs. Mary Samek of Bee and Miss Agnes Kosizek at home. There are nineteen grand-children, and one great grand child, two brothers, James and Frank Jindrich, and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Rott, and Mrs. Anna Druha, all of Yuba, Wisconsin, also survive their sister. One brother, Joseph Jinrich, passed away at Bruno several years ago. Mrs. Kozisek was a devout member of the Catholic Church and the Holy Rosary Society, a quiet, gentle woman, who labored earnestly for the welfare of her family. She was highly respected by all who knew her for her integrity and kindliness of her character and she will be missed by her large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral was largely attended, many coming from Surprise, Ulysses, Prague, Brainard, Dwight, Abie and elsewhere to pay their last respects to the dead.
