Description	:	Josephine Yarr of Chimacum died in Jefferson Healthcare hospital in Port Townsend of age-related causes. She was 103. Born to Thomas and Josephine (Strand) Yarr on the family farm in Chimacum, she grew up on the farm and became known as a walking history-book of the area. After the death of her brother in 1952, she took over operations of the family's dairy. She took two years of college and worked as a teacher for 43 years. She also held a koala bear in Australia, rode a camel in Egypt and visited the Taj Mahal in India. Miss Yarr was a lifelong member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Townsend. She is survived by nephew Thomas Neudorfer of Port Angeles; great-nephews Bill Neudorfer of Vancouver, Wash., and David McClellan of Great Falls, Mont.; and great-nieces Brenda Priest of Sequim and Patti McClellan of Center. Services: Held Dec. 17 under the direction of the Rev. John Topel. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Chimacum. Kosec Funeral Home, Port Townsend, was in charge of arrangements.
