This marriage of Joshua Monroe Friend and Sarah Anne VanSickle represented a further intertwining of the Friend, VanSickle, Enlow, and Frazee families of western Maryland as Sarah's stepmother (her father's second wife) was Catherine Harden who was a sister to Magot (Harden) Friend, wife of Andrew Coleman Friend.
