Description	:	Josiah Scott Howe was the son of the former Indian Captive and Revolutanary War CAPTAIN MOSES HOWE (1750-1817) and his wife SUBMIT SCOTT(1750-1850),he was born August 26, 1796,Vernon(then Hinsdale),Josiah was the eleventh child of twelve siblings.All born In Vernon(then Hinsdale),Vermont,they are as follows.. 1- EBENEZER HOWE , b. January 11, 1774, d. September 15, 1855; m. CALMA FRIZELL, Bef. 1797; b. Abt. 1772; d. October 12, 1854, Had 5 children. Lived on his father's farm in Vernon, and took over his father's tavern. 1838; Court deposition was taken to support Martha Howe's Revolutionary War pension claim....
