He was born March 6, 1832, and had passed the 76 mile stone in lifes uneven journey. He was a native of Switzerland and was married in 1855. In 1865 he came to America and settled at Davenport, Ia., and in 1875 he came to Sherman county, Nebraska, where he has since made his home.
