Read More	Joyce Lavonne Flynn July 26, 1951 - January 31, 2022 Joyce Lavonne Flynn, 70, passed away peacefully in her home on January 31, 2022. Joyce was born on July 26, 1951 in McLaughlin, SD. She grew up in Morristown, SD and graduated from McIntosh High School in 1969. Joyce married out of High School to "G.H." and to this union she gave birth to her beloved son, Chad, on April 24, 1970. After divorcing, she was a single mom in Rapid City going to college to be a Nurse. She was an LPN for over 40 years. In 1971, she met the love of her life, Brad Flynn. This was love at first sight and they married on June 29, 1972. They were blessed with a daughter on March 14, 1974. Joyce and Brad bought a house in 1979 and raised their family. With all of the love, this storybook marriage continued for 45 years! They had some hardships over the years, including the loss of her son, Chad, on March 2, 2013. Through the hardships were many wonderful years together, especially in their retirement years. On June 13, 2018, Brad lost his life to cancer. With so much love and support from all of her friends and family, Joyce lived her best life until her passing. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart and thankful to all of her close friends. Joyce touched the life of so many and will be missed tremendously! Thank you to all who have loved and supported her. She was preceded in death by her father, Rollo Leonard; mother, Frances (Varland) Leonard; son, Chad Hare; brothers, Terry Sutton and Dean Leonard; her beloved husband, Brad Flynn; and step-father, Johnny Schell. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; 2 grandsons and a granddaughter. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Kirk Funeral Home. Visitation held one-hour prior. A reception will follow at Noon at the Eagle's Club. Brad and Joyce will be laid to rest together at the Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis.
