Juanita was born on April 17, 1943 in Corydon, Iowa to Ethelyn Jean and Robert Dean McClain. She was married to Delbert D. King, Sr. in 1958 and had a son, Delbert D. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Iles Funeral Homes - Grandview Chapel. Juanita was born on April 17, 1943 in Corydon, Iowa to Ethelyn Jean and Robert Dean McClain. She was married to Delbert D. King, Sr. in 1958 and had a son, Delbert D. King, Jr. and a daughter, Cynthia L. King. After the passing of Delbert D. King, Sr., Juanita married Robert E. Bishop in 1971 and had a daughter, Tonia SM Bishop. Juanita was married to George Mohr in 2006 and remained such until his death in 2010. Juanita was a member of the Elks Lodge in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, where she had so much fun competing in horseshoe and bean bag tournaments. She enjoyed golfing at Terrace Hills on the women's league and enjoyed traveling, especially to south Texas during the cold Iowa winter months. She would spend time with her special group of girlfriends every Friday for lunch and also enjoyed going to Prairie Meadows, playing with family or friends from time to time. Juanita was loved by many and had such a big heart and had so much love to offer everyone in her life; however, the main thing she will be remembered for is her hugs and her ability to make everyone she met feel like they were special. Juanita is survived by her mother, Ethelyn McClain; brother, Larry McClain; son, Delbert King, Jr.; daughters, Cindy King and Tonia Lockwood; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be held this evening at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Published in Des Moines Register on July 13, 2011
