Her parents were the late Annette "Dickie" Epps Reesor of Conway, South Carolina, and the late Delbert Arnold Reesor of La Center, Kentucky. Her parents were the late Annette "Dickie" Epps Reesor of Conway, South Carolina, and the late Delbert Arnold Reesor of La Center, Kentucky. After residing in the Atlanta area until the spring of 1942, her family resided in Indiana until 1947. In December 1947, Judith moved with her mother, brother and sister to Conway, South Carolina, where they resided with her grandmother Agnes Klein Epps (Mrs. Charles J. Epps) at the Epps family home at 514 Main Street. After Mrs. Epps died in 1949, the Reesor family moved next door. Judith attended Conway Elementary School and was a 1954 graduate of Conway High School. She graduated from Winthrop College in 1958 with a bachelor degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics. She then went to the University of Tennessee majoring in Zoology and Genetics. This is where she met her future husband Charles Hutchinson at the Ham Radio club. Judith and Charles got married on November 19, 1959 and moved to Maryland in 1960. Judith then graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Masters degree in Liberal Arts, with additional studies in Physics. Judith then worked at Johns Hopkins University of Medicine at the Immunogenetic Laboratory, followed by Pediatric Oncology, performing human genetic research studies. After retirement, Judith worked as a volunteer at the Maryland Science Center, and continued to enjoy working there until her death. Judith was a member of Mid-Atlantic Soaring Association (MASA) and had commercial and private pilots' ratings in sailplanes. She also had a private pilots' rating in single engine power planes. She belonged to The Ninety-Nines, International Organization of Women Pilots and held a Virginia State soaring record for distance flown by a female in 1974. Judith enjoyed many hobbies, including genealogy, photography, astronomy, sailing, and flying. She was also a member of the American Association of University of Women (AAUW), Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Anne Arundel Genealogical Society, Magothy River Sailing Association, Arundel Camera Club, Baltimore Astronomical Society, and many other organizations. In addition, she volunteered her time for charitable works. On November 29, 2013, Judith passed away at the Tate Hospice House in Linthicum, MD, as a result of brain cancer. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Hutchinson, her sons: David Hutchinson and his wife, Kathy, Charles B. Hutchinson and his wife, Jennifer, and Thomas Hutchinson and his wife, Carmen, in addition to five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her twin brother, Thomas Reesor.
