Native of Rutherford County, daughter of the late James Vernon “Dutch” Allen, Sr. and Ruby Katherine Harrill Allen. Retired Registered Nurse at Cleveland Regional Medical Center and a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she loved to attend and sing in the choir. Read More	Judith Elaine “Judy” Allen, 75, of Ellenboro, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Native of Rutherford County, daughter of the late James Vernon “Dutch” Allen, Sr. and Ruby Katherine Harrill Allen. Retired Registered Nurse at Cleveland Regional Medical Center and a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she loved to attend and sing in the choir. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing and reading. Survived by her brothers, Rev. Alvin Allen (Judy) of Spindale, George Allen (Camellia) of Forest City, James Allen, Jr. (Sherry) of Ellenboro; sisters, Nancy Frady of Granite Falls, Brenda McEntire (Jeff) of Rutherfordton, Sara Sheppard (Wayne) of Bostic, Hannah Jolley (Randy) of Bostic and Kathy Houser (Phillip) of Boiling Springs; brother in-law, Charlie Dills of Dillsboro; three grandchildren, Amber, Kristen and Henry; and several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her sons, Steve Bradley and infant son, Scott; brother, Sidney Allen; sister, Deanna Dills; and brother in-law, H.L. Frady. The family received friends on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral services followed at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Alvin Allen and Rev. Michael Sepaugh officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Bethel Baptist Church, PO Box 633, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
