Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton. Burial will be in the New Hampton Cemetery. Judy Ann Geerts was born April 2, 1948, in Postville, the daughter of Orvill and Ora Gene (Oestmann) Meyer. She was baptized on April 25, 1948, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Postville. She received her education in Postville, graduating from Postville High School in 1966. On Oct. 20, 1973, Judy was united in marriage to David Geerts at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Postville. Follow-ing their marriage, the couple resided in North Washington, and she worked as a bookkeeper for the Farmer's Co-op in North Washington and New Hampton. Judy is survived by her husband, David, of North Washington; three children, Wendy (Bruce) Crooks, of Ionia, Cindy Geerts, of North Washington, and Cory Geerts, of Forest City; two grandchildren, Karson and Kara Crooks; two sisters, Kathy (Richard) Menne, of West Union, and Beverly (Dave) Torkelson, of Monona; two brothers, Kenneth (Becky) Meyer, of Cast-alia, and Keith (Brenda) Meyer, of Castalia; mother-in-law, Joanna Geerts, of North Washington; and many nieces and nephews.
