Judy graduated from Vevay High School in 1961 and went to work for the Vevay Reveille and Switzerland Democrat Newspapers. Read More	Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre 325 Demaree Drive Madison, IN 47250 Mrs. Judy Lynn O'Day McKay, age 78, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on November 28, 1942 in Vevay, Indiana, the loving daughter of Orville "Buck" and Wanda Roberta Moore O'Day. Judy graduated from Vevay High School in 1961 and went to work for the Vevay Reveille and Switzerland Democrat Newspapers. Judy was united in marriage to Virgil Clyde McKay on May 18, 1963 in Kent, Indiana. This happy union of 52 years was blessed with two daughters, Christy and Misty. She relocated to Indianapolis for 35 years and went on to become an employee for the State of Indiana. She worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court for 22 years. She had served as secretary for eight State Representatives in Indiana and she really enjoyed working for the State of Indiana. Judy had attended the Mt. Zion Nazarene Church for several years. She enjoyed membership in the South Side Corvette Club and the Hallmark Club. Judy loved the ride of the Cadillac and the speed of the Corvette and a great NASCAR race. She liked gardening, working with her flowers, collecting Hallmark ornaments, reading Janet Evanovich books, shopping, especially QVC, watching the Food Network, collecting Roosters, and celebrating her Irish Heritage. If you were in Judy's aura you couldn't help to notice her smile, "The Look" she could give you and a bit of sarcasm that was expected. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, being a mother and grandma. Virgil and Judy moved back to Switzerland County and enjoyed the family farm until their deaths. Judy died on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 3:07 a.m. at the Greenfield Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Judy will be missed by her loving daughters, Christy Muzquiz and her husband, Hector of Indianapolis, Indiana, Misty Blankman and her husband, John of Rushville, Indiana; her grandsons, Jonathon Blankman and Hector Logan Muzquiz; her sister, June Edwards of East Enterprise, Indiana; her nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Orville "Buck" O'Day, her mother, Wanda Roberta Moore O'Day, her husband, Virgil Clyde McKay, her sister in law, Anna Grace McKay, her brother in law, Ronald C. Edwards, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Pauline McKay, her grandparents, Walter and Bessie Moore. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., by Pastor Lonnie Bontrager at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow on Friday in the Vevay Cemetery, 800 East Main Street in Vevay, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Cards are available at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centres of Madison and Hanover.
