Description	:	Judye Kay (Ashburn) Criswell, resident of McCrory, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Unity Health-White County Medical Center in Searcy at the age of 78. Judye was born in the Duffel Community in rural Woodruff County on August 5, 1943, the daughter of Jeff Frank and Georgia Nellie (Little) Ashburn. Judye attended McCrory Schools, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Wiville where she was baptized. In recent years, Judye attended Pumpkin Bend Community Church. Judye was born in the Duffel Community in rural Woodruff County on August 5, 1943, the daughter of Jeff Frank and Georgia Nellie (Little) Ashburn. Judye attended McCrory Schools, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Wiville where she was baptized. In recent years, Judye attended Pumpkin Bend Community Church. She worked at Bill's Dollar Store, Morrilton Plastics, American Greetings, and 20 years at Best Drug Store. Judye was skilled in crocheting and sewing, and passed the crafts on to others. When her health allowed, she loved to work in her yard and tend to her roses. Judye enjoyed solving puzzle books and jigsaw puzzles, watching game shows, visiting with the ladies on Fridays at Vickie's Beauty Shop, and spending time with her family. Judye was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Criswell; her parents; a son, Steve Cain; three brothers, Leroy, Harold, and Ray Ashburn; and three sisters, Edna Fields, Eileen Ashburn, and an infant sister. She is survived by a son, Mark Cain and wife Dianne of McCrory; three sisters, Mary Lawman of McCrory, Jane Robertson of Patterson, and Marlene McDonald of McCrory; two grandchildren, Trista Cox and husband Michael of Jonesboro, and Matthew Cain and wife Melanie of McCrory; six great-grandchildren, Avery, Jett, and Willow Cox of Jonesboro, and Marley, Kylie, and Natalie Cain of McCrory; a daughter-in-law Sandra Nicholas of Des Arc; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services are 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Woodman Cemetery near McCrory. No visitation is planned. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
