Description	:	Steven Wade Cain, lifelong resident of McCrory, departed this life peacefully with his loving family around him on Friday, March 11, 2016 from a long battle with cancer. He was 50 years of age. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 14th with services at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15th at Thompson-Wilson McCrory Chapel. Interment will be in Woodman Cemetery. Thompson-Wilson Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements. Steve was born in Brinkley, Arkansas on June 3, 1965. He was the son of James C. Cain and Judye Ashburn Cain Criswell. Steve graduated from McCrory High School in 1983 while working on the family farm. After leaving the family farm, Steve was employed as a truck driver through AR Cal Trucking for three years. He began his career for John Deere hauling equipment. He later became a technician at what is now known as Greenway Equipment where he worked for over 22 years and was a very dedicated employee. Steve was married to Roxie Lea Smith Cain who preceded him in death in 2005. Steve was an avid gun and knife collector who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He met the former Sandra Keen Hartsell in 2010 and they later married. They both enjoyed being on the river at the Bay on Sundays, cruising on the party barge. Steve is preceded in death by Roxie Cain, his step-father, Sam Criswell, and his step-mother Betty Cain. Steve is survived by his wife, Sandra Keen Cain of the home, his mother, Judye Criswell of McCrory, Arkansas, his father, James C. Cain of McCrory, Arkansas, one brother, Mark Cain and wife Dianne of McCrory, Arkansas, his father-in-law, J. C. Keen of McCrory, Arkansas, two sons, Blake Baker and wife Heather of McCrory, Arkansas, Tyler Slocum and wife Samantha of McCrory, Arkansas, three daughters, Cassie Fisher and husband, Chase of Walker, Louisiana, Scootie Prine and husband Steven of Tuckerman, Arkansas, Brandy Fields and husband Adam of Tuckerman, Arkansas, thirteen grandchildren, Zoey and Brayden Baker, Shea Baker, Cayden Slocum, Marissa, Bryce and Brayden Holder, Brylea and Rylan Fields, Blaine and Jaci Hartsell, Jordan and Madison Prine, his nephew, Matt Cain and wife Melanie of McCrory, Arkansas, his niece, Trista Cox and husband Michael of Paragould, Arkansas, his great-nieces, Avery Cox, Willow Cox and Marley Cain and great-nephew, Jett Cox. Active pallbearers will be Phil McNeil, Neal Smith, Patrick McNeely, Terry Thompson, Phil Reynolds and Steven Prine. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Holder, Brayden Holder, Blaine Hartsell, Cayden Slocum, Brayden Baker and Rylan Fields.
