EVANS McLouth Times Friday September 25, 1896 Obituary. EVANS. Julia Agnes(Brown)EVANS was born March 28, 1872, at McLouth, Kansas, her parents being Arthur H. and Hattie BROWN. She made her home in and near Oskaloosa during the four years preceeding her marriage. She was married to Frank EVANS, June 28, 1892, and died Sunday, September 13, 1896, aged 24 years, 5 months, and 20 days old. She was a member of the church seven years. She leaves a husband and little daughter to mourn her loss. Her sun is gone down at noon, but the light of her pure life will shine on. Those who knew here in her girlhood and womanhood have only the kindest reflections to express. We sympathize with Mr. EVANS and his little daughter in their great loss and deep sorrow. The funeral servcies were conducted in the city Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, where she has had her membership more than seven years. The remains were interred at Fairview cemetery.--Oskaloosa Times. The death of Mrs. Agnes EVANS as Osawkie, which occured last Sunday evening, was a sad affair. SInce the surgical operation some months ago, she had seemed to be getting along nicely and was doing her own housework, but in washing clothes on Monday she injured the old wound, blodd poisoning set in and death ensued. The remains were brought to Oskaloosa Tuesday and the funeral services held at the Presbyterian church at 2 p.m.by Pastor REYNOLDS, the interment taking place at Pleasant View. Mrs. EVANS was a brigh and lovely woman, only a littl past 24 years of age, and her early and painful death is very sad. She leaves a husband, Frank J.
