Description	:	Julia Anne Loe was born in Howard County, Mo, in 1817; her parents had just moved to Howard County from Wayne County, Kentucky, where all of her older siblings were born. She married John Croley in Howard County in 1835, and shortly after, they moved to Scotland County, along with her parents and some of her siblings. She raised 7 children there who lived to adulthood. She died young, in 1859 when she was only 41 - leaving John with a 3-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a 9-year-old to raise (probably with the help of the... Read More	Julia Anne Loe was born in Howard County, Mo, in 1817; her parents had just moved to Howard County from Wayne County, Kentucky, where all of her older siblings were born. She married John Croley in Howard County in 1835, and shortly after, they moved to Scotland County, along with her parents and some of her siblings. She raised 7 children there who lived to adulthood. She died young, in 1859 when she was only 41 - leaving John with a 3-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a 9-year-old to raise (probably with the help of the two older daughters, Francis (Fanny) and Nancy) . Her grave is in the Antioch Cemetery, a small cemetery off of Antioch Road, southwest of Memphis, "at the top of a small hill surrounded by a clump of trees. Not marked and difficult to spot if you don't know what you are looking for. Would not have found it if farmer had crops surrounding it."
