Description	:	Mrs. John A (Julia) Murrell, 71, died unexpectedly at her home in Fairmont Thursday, May 6, 1971. Julia Ann Murrell, daughter of Dennis and Josephine Geris McMahon, was born near Exeter, Neb., July 30, 1899. Julia's mother died at the age of 29, leaving six small children, of whom Julia was the third eldest. The father father passed awy when Julia was 13 years of age. Read More	Mrs. John A (Julia) Murrell, 71, died unexpectedly at her home in Fairmont Thursday, May 6, 1971. Julia Ann Murrell, daughter of Dennis and Josephine Geris McMahon, was born near Exeter, Neb., July 30, 1899. Julia's mother died at the age of 29, leaving six small children, of whom Julia was the third eldest. The father father passed awy when Julia was 13 years of age. December 29, 1923, Julia was married to John A Murrell of Fairmont. To this union three children were born. Mrs. Murrell is survived by one daughter, Betty Williams of Ponca City, Okla; two sons, Bob Murrell of Fairmont and John Murrell Jr. of Denver, Col.; one step-son, Vern of Riverside, Cal.; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Julia was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Sam(Mayme) Creech and a brother, Dennis McMahon. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Dick Storm of Engelwood, Col. and two brothers, John and Thomas McMahon of Cheyenne, Wyo. Services were held at 10 a.m. May 10 at the Grace Methodist church in Fairmont, Rev. Josephine Scahill officiating. Mrs. Ralph Kahler and Mrs. Francis Jacobsen sang "Ivor Palaces" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Jerry Galusha was organist. Pallbearers were Don Beavers, Will Boren, Clyde Jacobsen, Francis McMahon Sr. Francis Schepers and Larry Schepers. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral came from Lincoln, Columbus, Geneva, York, Omaha, Giltner, Cheyenne, Wy., Ponca City, Ok., Denver, Col, Englewood, Col. and Oak Harbor, Wash.
