Description	:	Julia B. Johnson, 91, of Denver, Iowa, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital. Julia was born on August 5, 1913, in Denver, Iowa, the daughter of John and Ruth (Farris) Gugenbuel. Orphaned at age 5, she and her sisters where raised by their grandparents, Joseph and Etta Farris. Julia attended school in rural Denver and graduated from Denver High School. Following school, Julia worked for a couple of years and was then united in marriage to Lavern Kehe. They couple farmed east of Denver and later moved to a home west of Denver. Lavern passed away on... Read More	Julia B. Johnson, 91, of Denver, Iowa, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital. Julia was born on August 5, 1913, in Denver, Iowa, the daughter of John and Ruth (Farris) Gugenbuel. Orphaned at age 5, she and her sisters where raised by their grandparents, Joseph and Etta Farris. Julia attended school in rural Denver and graduated from Denver High School. Following school, Julia worked for a couple of years and was then united in marriage to Lavern Kehe. They couple farmed east of Denver and later moved to a home west of Denver. Lavern passed away on June 19, 1963. On February 12, 1967, Julia was united in marriage to H. Stanley Johnson and he later died on July 19, 2002. Julia was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, baking pies, crocheting, playing cards, gardening and especially spending time with her family and friends. Julia is survived by her three children, Marlyn & Robert Wolter, Shirley & John Cheever, and Ken & Cindy Kehe all of Denver; seven grandsons, Kevin Kehe, Mike, David & Alan Cheever, Jeff, Jon & Joel Wolter; one granddaughter, Kelly Gray; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Bernyce Perry of Illinois; five step children; and by numerous step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2005, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver with Rev. Victoria Shepherd officiating. Burial will be held in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church or to the family.
