Description	:	“The Frederick Post” - Frederick, MD – 10 November 1937 “MISS JULIA BELT Miss Julia Belt, a well-known resident of the Dickerson section, died suddenly Tuesday morning at 7 o’clock following a heart attack. She was a daughter of the late John Lloyd and Sarah McGill Belt. She was born at the old Belt homestead and lived there her entire life. She was a member of a large family and is survived only by a sister, Mrs. Lawrence A. White, of Dickerson, and sixteen nieces and nephews. Read More	“The Frederick Post” - Frederick, MD – 10 November 1937 “MISS JULIA BELT Miss Julia Belt, a well-known resident of the Dickerson section, died suddenly Tuesday morning at 7 o’clock following a heart attack. She was a daughter of the late John Lloyd and Sarah McGill Belt. She was born at the old Belt homestead and lived there her entire life. She was a member of a large family and is survived only by a sister, Mrs. Lawrence A. White, of Dickerson, and sixteen nieces and nephews. The deceased was a devoted member of Christ Episcopal church at Barnesville, where she had been organist for a number of years. For twenty years, she was president of Christ Church Guild and secretary of the Women’s Auxiliary. She was also historian of the U.D.C. of Maryland at one time and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Miss Belt was a woman of high Christian integrity, and was much beloved by a large circle of friends. The funeral will take place Thursday morning with a short service at the home at 10:30 o’clock with further services at St. Paul’s Episcopal church, near Point of Rocks. Burial will follow in the adjoin cemetery. E.E. Cline and Son, funeral directors.”
