Gumprecht, one of the oldest and best known women of Shelton, passed away yesterday afternoon at 2:30 following an illness of several weeks with neuralgia of the heart and other complications incentive to old age. She was born in Saxony, Germany, and came to America with her husband and family in the spring of 1873, locating in Michigan for a few months, and later in the same year coming to Nebraska. They located on a homestead six miles north of Shelton and in later years moved to town. Mr. Gumprecht died June 16 (sic), 1909, and since that time Mrs. Gumprecht has continued to make her home in Shelton. She is survived by seven children as follows: Charles, Ernest, C. M., H. C., and G. C., and Mrs. E. G. Picard. These all reside at Shelton except Ernest and Max, the former residing at Helena, Mont., and the latter at Long Beach, Cal. All the children will be in attendance at the funeral, which will be held tomorrow afternoon from the family home with interment in the Shelton cemetery.
