Webber, wife of Sherman Webber and one of Switzerland County's best ladies, passed away at her home in Lamb about eleven O'clock last Thursday morning. She had been in Ill health since an operation undergone a year ago and her condition since that time had grown steadily worse. Read More	Mrs. Julia Webber Claimed By Death At Home in Lamb Member of Pioneer County Family; Had Been Ill for More Than A Year Mrs. Julia F. Webber, wife of Sherman Webber and one of Switzerland County's best ladies, passed away at her home in Lamb about eleven O'clock last Thursday morning. She had been in Ill health since an operation undergone a year ago and her condition since that time had grown steadily worse. The deceased was a daughter of Chris F. and Lucinda Pickett Bear and was born on Tapps Ridge, March 20, 1877. In 1900 she was united in marriage to Herman Barkhau, a well-known farmer of Posey Township, who died in 1905. Five years later she married Mr. Webber, also of that community, who, with the following children survive her, Mrs. J. H. McSweeney of Detroit, Mrs. Thomas Johnson, of Indianapolis, Mrs. Wilford Thomas, of Rising Sun, and Robert, Ralph and Mabel Webber, all at home. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Kate Johnson and Mrs. John Myers; both of Vevay, two brothers, Law renew Bear of Montgomery Ala. And Frank Bear of Indianapolis, an aunt, Mrs. Minnie Wiley of near Vevay and an uncle, Charles Bear, of Indianapolis. Mrs. Webber was a member of the Center Square Church of Crist and was a lady whose devotion to her family and high Christian character gained the respect and esteem of all who know her. The funeral services, with Rev. J. H. McConnell officiating, were held at two O'clock Saturday afternoon in the Haskell & Morrison Mortuary.
