Description	:	Thomas Robert Webber, born Oct. 21, 1911, in Indianapolis Indiana, passed away Saturday morning at Madison, Indiana, age 60 years, 11 months, and 24 days. "Bob" as he was affectionately called by his family and friends was the oldest child of Sherman and Julia Bear Webber. Educated in Patriot and Vevay Schools he spent almost his entire fife in Switzerland County where he followed the vocation of farming. Educated in Patriot and Vevay Schools he spent almost his entire fife in Switzerland County where he followed the vocation of farming. In 1944, he was married to Jeanette Turner who with the following children are left to mourn his passing – Paul, James, and Julia at home, and Alice Bye of Tucson Arizona. Other survivors include a brother Ralph Webber of Switzerland County and four sisters Mrs. Thomas Johnson, Mrs. William Taylor, both of Indianapolis, Mrs. Dilver Curlin of Osgood and Mrs. J. H. McSweeny of Las Angeles, California, along with 8 nephews and nieces. Bob in early manhood became a member of Center Square Church of Christ where he served faithfully for over 40 years. About 11 years ago Bob suffered an accident causing him almost complete blindness, forcing him to retire from farming and for the last few years he had suffered from heart trouble which eventually took his life. Bob was a direct descendant of the first settlers of Switzerland County – being the great great great-grandson of Heathcoate Pickett who brought his family to the Indiana Territory in 1790. We shall miss this honest and upright citizen and extend deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.
