Description	:	The funeral for Julia Berg, 84, of Valley City, ND formerly of Litchville, ND will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, in the First Baptist Church, 3511 Kathryn Road South, Valley City. Rev. Allan Gerberg will officiate. She died Friday, February 5, 1993 in a Valley City hospital. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, rural Litchville, later in the spring. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Oliver's Funeral Chapel and one hour before the service at the church. There will be a prayer service... Julia Hust was born August 1, 1908 in Bloomfield Township, Stutsman County, ND, the daughter of John and Christiana (Klundt) Hust. She grew up and received her education in rural schools in that area. She worked for neighbors as a hired girl before her marriage. On August 12, 1930 she married Leonard Berg at Billings, MT. They lived at Bottineau, ND until September 1945 when they moved to Litchville, where they owned and operated The Litchville Bulletin until retirement in 1965. She continued to make her home in Litchville until 1981. Since that time she has resided in Jamestown, Medina and Valley City, most recently entering Sheyenne Care Center in August of 1992. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valley City. While living in Litchville, she had been active in school and community activities. Leonard Berg died in 1987. She is survived by four daughters: Norma (Mrs. Robert) Miedema, Litchville; Carol Opdahl, Maplewood, MN; Joan (Mrs. Ronald) Trapp; and Laura Berg, Phoemix, AZ; four sons: Glenn, Alexandria, MN; Vernon, West Fargo; Kenneth, Lodi, CA; and Ronald, Bridgeview, IL; one brother, Albert, Townsend, MT; four sisters: Amelia Wiest, Jamestown, ND; Martha Schleining, Aurora, CO; Susan (Mrs. Otto) Beringer, Puyallup, WA and Ida Schelske, Portland, OR; 20 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 grandsons, four brothers and two sisters. Arrangements are by Oliver's Funeral Chapel, Valley City, ND.
