Description	:	Julius Jakob Seltz was born August 16, 1880 at Neuboern, Germany to Jakob and Anna Greggers Seltz. He was baptized in the home of his parents and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Kropp. On June 4, 1909, he was married to Anna Freiberg at the home of the bride's parents. Read More	Julius Jakob Seltz was born August 16, 1880 at Neuboern, Germany to Jakob and Anna Greggers Seltz. He was baptized in the home of his parents and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Kropp. On June 4, 1909, he was married to Anna Freiberg at the home of the bride's parents. This union was blessed with five daughters and one son. In November 1921, the family came to America, moving onto a farm northeast of Elkhorn in March 1922. March 1, 1933, The family moved to Decatur, where he lived until 1949, when he moved to Omaha. The past 10 years, he made his home with his daughters. Mr. Seltz was taken to the Lutheran Hospital in Norfolk, March 28, where he passed away on April 1st, after a lingering illness at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 16 days. He is survived by four daughters, Anna (John) Wesemann, Pierce, Marie (Chris) Nielsen of Omaha, Frieda (Don) Walter and Helma (Donald) McArdle of Elkhorn, 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and a sister, Catherina (Henry) Thiessen of Omahs. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter in Germany and a son, Julius, in 1923 and his wife in 1947. Funeral services were held April 4 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bennington, with Pastor Norman Schroeder officiating. Pallbearers were Christian Nielsen, Leonard Wesemann, Joseph Walter, Gary McArdle, Marvin Mattson and Eugene Rollins. Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Elkhorn. ******** His siblings were John, Claus, Maria (Neuhaus), Catharina (Thiessen) and Anna Christina. Anna Christina died in infancy in Germany.
