June was born to George and Tilda Holden on Feb. 2, 1921, in Holden, Alberta, Canada. She had three sisters and two brothers. June was raised by her Uncle Charles and Aunt Mary Emerson in Livingston with her cousin Jean M. Cromwell. The two girls were raised as sisters and always considered themselves sisters. June graduated from Park County High School in 1938 and worked as an accountant for many years in Livingston. June married Ben Kruger... June was born to George and Tilda Holden on Feb. 2, 1921, in Holden, Alberta, Canada. She had three sisters and two brothers. June was raised by her Uncle Charles and Aunt Mary Emerson in Livingston with her cousin Jean M. Cromwell. The two girls were raised as sisters and always considered themselves sisters. June graduated from Park County High School in 1938 and worked as an accountant for many years in Livingston. June married Ben Kruger in Forsyth, Mont., during World War II. They lived in Livingston until they retired to Arizona in 1979, where they lived in Sedona and Lake Havasu City. June and her husband enjoyed fishing, especially in Yellowstone Park. After retiring, they enjoyed traveling. June and Ben did not have children of their own, but enjoyed spending time with her sister Jean and her family. June was preceded in death by her parents, George and Tilda Holden; her uncle Charles and aunt Mary Emerson; brothers Teddy Holden and Louie Holden; sisters Anna Pederson, Bertha Holden and Clara Armstrong; and her husband, Ben Kruger. She is survived by her sister Jean Cromwell of Billings; niece Connie Raynock of Billings; nephews David Cromwell of Seattle, Doug Cromwell of Wisconsin and Dean Cromwell of Billings; numerous nieces and nephews in Alberta, Canada; along with numerous great-nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Grand Park Assisted Living for their compassionate care over the past three years. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
