Description	:	June M. Linderer, age 92, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Park Haven Retirement Center in Manhattan, MT. She was the widow of Ray Linderer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Watertown. Rev. Paul Janke will officiate. Music will be provided by Rachel Wendler as organist with congregational singing. The family is requested to meet at the church on Friday by 1:30 p.m. for a prayer service. Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be: Shirley Stemwedel, Vergene Comes, Joyce Comes, Debbie Smith and Marlyn (Donna) Kannas. Active pallbearers will be: Stanley Kannas, Kevin Kannas, Donnie Stark, Allen Stark, Zach Anderson and Chris Anderson. June was born on June 11, 1925, at South Shore, SD, to Levi and Emma (Schmeling) Kannas. She attended rural schools, spending summers in town. June loved to dance, following the local bands kicking up her heels with her sister. On February 28, 1946, June married Ray Linderer at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rauville Township, Codington County, SD. Upon Ray's return from the U.S. Army, they made their home in Watertown. She worked at the Guest House Motel and was a homemaker for many years. After retirement they continued to make their home in Watertown. Ray passed away on November 24, 2010. She was his caregiver for many years before his passing. June continued to live in Watertown, which she loved. She moved to Montana in May of 2016 to be by her daughter. She was a member of St. Martins Lutheran Church. June was an avid baker. She enjoyed gardening with her husband. Entertaining her family and friends for birthday parties and special events gave her much joy. June is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Kai) Anderson of Three Forks, MT; two grandchildren: Zach (Hannie) Anderson and Chris (Fiancé Samantha Hall) Anderson; three great-grandchildren: Emma, Lucy and Brandt Anderson; one brother, Marlyn (Donna) Kannas of Watertown; two sisters-in-law: Arlone Kannas and Lucille Kannas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents; three brothers: Norman Kannas, Verlyn Kannas and Dale Kannas; and one sister, Delores Stark.
