Description	:	OBIT: Justus S. Colwell, 73, of Ellensburg died Saturday following a long illness. A resident of Ellensburg for 20 years, he was employed as a surveyor and timber cruiser by the Cascade Lumber Co. until his retirement in 1943. He was born near Oshkosh, Wisconsin, May 18, 1872. Colwell, 73, of Ellensburg died Saturday following a long illness. A resident of Ellensburg for 20 years, he was employed as a surveyor and timber cruiser by the Cascade Lumber Co. until his retirement in 1943. He was born near Oshkosh, Wisconsin, May 18, 1872. He family moved to Shawno, Wisconsin, a few years later and he was educated there. He was married to Nellie Larsen July 5, 1906 in Chicago. They made their home in Wisconsin, where he was engaged in civil engineering work for the Paine Lumber Co., until 1910. In that year he moved to Winchester, Idaho, where he worked for the Lindeley Bros. Lumber Co. for several years. In 1925 the family moved to Ellensburg. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Shawno and later transferred to Priest River, Idaho, where he served as Master of the Kaniksu Lodge, AF&AM No. 85. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Colwell; three daughters, Mrs. R. L. Kaidera of Ridgewood, NJ, Mrs. Andrew Sorensen and Mrs. Erwin Billeter of Ellensburg; two grandchildren, John Paul Kaidera and Brenda Rae Billeter; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Frankland of Walla Walla and Mrs. Elisabeth Graves of Wausau, Wisconsin and a brother, H. M. Colwell of Ellensburg. Private funeral services will be held at the Honeycutt Chapel, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with Rev. Fred Hall officiating.
