Description	:	THE BILLINGS GAZETTE, November 28, 1976: Karl Jochem, 82 of 1228 Ave. F, died at Deaconess Hospital of cancer. He was born June 12, 1894 in Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Jochem. He came to the United States in 1907 and became a naturalized citizen. He married Frieda Reese on Jan. 15, 1919, in Buffalo County, Neb. They farmed in Buffalo County until they moved to Billings in 1946. He came to the United States in 1907 and became a naturalized citizen. He married Frieda Reese on Jan. 15, 1919, in Buffalo County, Neb. They farmed in Buffalo County until they moved to Billings in 1946. Mr. Jochem worked as a cement finsher for Cahill-Mooney Construction and Hardy Construction Co. He retired in 1965. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and of Masons and Plasterers Local No. 359. Survivors include the widow, two sons, Robert N. Jochem of 2011 Pryor Lane and Raymond D. Jochem of Milwaukee, Wis., three daughters, Mrs. Bert (Beulah) Davis of Leavenworth, Kan., Mrs. Kenneth (Bernice) Peterson of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Mrs. Warren (Rosella) Lammers of Kearney, Neb.; a brother, Jacob Jochem of Ravenna, Neb.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Lutheran Church, with pastors George Wallenburg and David Boehnke officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Smith's Terrace Gardens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
