The Phonograph, February 25, 1953 KATHERINE GUSHALEWSKI DIES AT THE AGE OF 94 Mrs. Katherine Gushalewski was born in 1858 in Poland and died at the State Hospital near Hastings, Febr. 17, 1953, after a lingering illness. She was 94 years old. When she was a small child, she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Murach, to the United States. She was 94 years old. When she was a small child, she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Murach, to the United States. She was united in marriage to Frank Gushalewski and they made their home on a farm west of St. Libory. Preceding her in death were her husband, a daughter Mary and a son Michael. Surviving include nephews George Greenwalt of St. Paul and Zack Greenwalt of Ord and a niece Mrs. Helen Osterloh of Omaha. Services were held Monday at 9 o'clock at the Keating Mortuary and at 9:30 at St. Libory Catholic Church with Father Andrew Augustyn offering the requiem high mass. Burial was in St. Libory Cemetery. The pallbearers were Walter Greenwalt, Lawrence Greenwalt, Ambrose Greenwalt, Cyril P. Shaughnessy, John Dingwerth and Elmer Trentman.
