Dammann of near Worms died at the Lutheran Hospital in Grand Island last Saturday morning and funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Worms Zion Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. O. A. Graebner. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Dammann had been in ill health for many years and about three years ago she fell and broke her hip. Late last Wednesday night she suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital early Thursday morning. She was born January 30, 1882 in Hanover, Germany, to Pete and Margaretha Hinrichs. She received her education in a parochial school in Germany and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith there. She came to the United States and the Worms community in 1903 and she and Alfred Dammann were married May 9, 1906 at Zion Lutheran Church in Worms. They made their only home in the Worms community, celebrating their gold wedding anniversary in 1956. Mrs. Dammann was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Arnold Dammann, St. Libory; three daughters, Mrs. Hildegard Base, Wisner, Mrs. Agatha Luebbe, St. Libory, and Mrs. Irene Bahensky, Palmer; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers and a grandchild.
