Description	:	Mrs. Margaret Hinrichs, perhaps the oldest person in Merrick County, was laid to rest last Friday afternoon in the Worms Church cemetery by the side of the grave of her late husband who died July 24, 1935. Ms. Hinrichs, who made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Damman a mile northwest of Worms, died Wednesday morning, August 29, at the age of 100 years, 8 months and 26 days. Ms. Hinrichs, who made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Damman a mile northwest of Worms, died Wednesday morning, August 29, at the age of 100 years, 8 months and 26 days. She had been seriously ill only two weeks. Prior that that she had been healthy, and able to be up and around, although handicapped by failing eyesight. (Funeral details followed.) Margaret Richters was born December 3, 1850 at Dollern, Germany, daughter of Clause and Angel Richters. She was married in 1877 to Peter Hinrichs and in 1912 they came to America. After living in Colorado for two years they came to Nebraska and settled near Worms. Of the six children born to them, four died. Surviving are a son, Henry, in Germany and a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Amman, of near Worms. She leaves also 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
