Services were held Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Shelton with the Rev. Thomas Mackey officiating. Kathy Ramirez was born Nov. 4, 1955, to Edgar and Violet D. (Torske) Albers in Hastings. She grew up in the Holdrege area, graduating from Holdrege High School in 1974. On Jan. 29, 1975, she married Joe Ramirez. They lived in Grand Island. She was a certified nursing assistant at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Grand Island and later at Linden Court Care Center in North Platte, where she recently moved. Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Billie J. Malesker of Knoxville, Tenn., and Becky J. Ramirez of San Bernadino, Calif.; one brother, Wes of Minden; and four grandchildren. Her parents and one brother, Clyde, also died in the traffic accident.
