MACIEJEWSKI RITES MONDAY Katherine Derdowski was born in the village of Gruta, Poland, December 11, 1848 and passed away December 23, 1937 at the age of 89 years and 12 days, death due to pneumonia. She grew to womanhood in Poland and was united in marriage to Frank Maciejewski in 1870, coming to the United States on 1872, settling in the state of New York, where they lived three years, when they moved to Pittsburgh, Penn. MACIEJEWSKI RITES MONDAY Katherine Derdowski was born in the village of Gruta, Poland, December 11, 1848 and passed away December 23, 1937 at the age of 89 years and 12 days, death due to pneumonia. She grew to womanhood in Poland and was united in marriage to Frank Maciejewski in 1870, coming to the United States on 1872, settling in the state of New York, where they lived three years, when they moved to Pittsburgh, Penn. In 1881 they moved to Sherman county, living on a farm 3 1/2 miles southeast of Ashton for 25 years. In 1906 they moved to Ashton where they lived until the death of her husband, in 1924 when she came here to live at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Lewandowski, where she resided until the time of her death. Mrs. Maciejewski was the mother of five children, two sons, Walter of Loup City and Frank of Ashton, three daughters, Mrs. Wm. Lewandowski and Mrs. Roman Dembowski of this city and Agatha, who preceded her mother in death in 1920. Funeral services were held from the St. Josaphat's Catholic church Monday morning, December 27. Interment was made in the Ashton cemetery beside her husband and daughter. The pall-bearers were her grand sons, Harry, Leon and Edmund Lewandowski, Louie and Henry Dembowski of Loup City and a grand son-in-law, Stanley Gembol of Columbus.
