Description	:	Mrs. Anson Priest (Katherine McGreevy) died suddenly at her home in Clermont Saturday afternoon, Feb. 9, 1952, while visiting with her daughter. She had been in failing health for the past two years. Mrs. Priest was born on the family homestead north of Clermont on Mar. 14, 1879, the youngest daughter of Thomas and Margaret McGreevy. Read More	Mrs. Anson Priest (Katherine McGreevy) died suddenly at her home in Clermont Saturday afternoon, Feb. 9, 1952, while visiting with her daughter. She had been in failing health for the past two years. Mrs. Priest was born on the family homestead north of Clermont on Mar. 14, 1879, the youngest daughter of Thomas and Margaret McGreevy. She was educated in the county and Clermont public schools. On April 21, 1903 she united in marriage to Anson Priest in St. Peters Catholic church by Father Smith. To this union were born two daughters, Elizabeth and Suzanna (Mrs. George V. Larson). She spent her entire life in this vicinity. She was a charter member of the WCOF and a charter member of RNA and a life long member of the Rosary Society and Altar Guild. She loved to work for her church. Funeral services were held at St. Peters Catholic church on Tuesday morning, Feb. 12, at nine-thirty with a solemn high mass with Rev. Fr. Robert Cooney, Celebrant, Rev. Fr. T. B. O'Toole Deacon and Rev. Fr. F. Leo O'Connell sub-deacon. Rev. Leo O'Connell, her former pastor, delivered the sermon. Burial was in St. Peters cemetery. Pall bearers were Ed Quinn, John Kelly, Joseph Leehy, Larry Horan, W.C. Calahan and Emmet Carlin. Mrs. Priest is survived by her husband, her two daughters, Elizabeth Priest of Bernard and Suzanna, her son-in-law and two grandchildren, Kathryn and Lyle Larson of Clermont, also two sisters, Ellen McGreevy of Clermont and Mrs. Susan Gordon of Des Moines and three nephews. Attending the funeral from out of town were Dr. and Mrs. L.F. Gordon, Omaha, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Gordon, Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bunders and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Bunders, Prairie du Chien, Wisc.
