Enloe of Elma on Wednesday morning, December 3. She was aged 76 years, 10 months and 7 days. Funeral rites were conducted in the Immaculate Conception Church at Elma Tuesday morning, December 9, with the pastor, Rev P.E. Donnelly officiating. At the conclusion of the services the remains were taken to Lourdes where they were laid to rest beside those of her husband in the Catholic Cemetery. The deceased, Katherine Kearney, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1854, the daughter of Michael [sic-David} and Sarah Kearney. At the age of two years she came with her parents to Iowa and settled near Lourdes. On June 29, 1872, she was united in marriage to Bernard Norton at St Rose Catholic Church at Waucoma. After their marriage they made their home on a farm near Lourdes, which was their home until 1894, when the husband died. After the death of her husband, Mrs Norton moved to New Hampton where she made her home until about a year and a half ago when she went to make her home with her daughter, Sarah, Mrs W.D. Enloe of Elma. Twelve children blessed her marital union with Bernard Norton and eight of them preceded the mother to the grave. The four children who survive are: Peter of Valley City, North Dakota, Mrs W.D. (Sarah) Enloe of Elma, Mrs T.J. (Agnes) Murphy of New Hampton and Mrs Pat (Margaret) Egan of Richmond, California.
