Bridges, retired railway conductor of Big Sandy and Great Falls, and mother of Walter Bridges and Mrs. Harry Arneson of this city, died at the Deaconess hospital Friday morning, following a two months illness from heart trouble. Mrs. Bridges was born at Mooresville, Ind., Feb. 22, 1862, and with Mr. Bridges came to Montana in 1913, residing on a homestead until 1919, when they moved to Great Falls and later to Big Sandy, spending the greatest share of the time at the latter place. They resided at 2101 Sixth avenue north for a number of years. Had Mrs. Bridges lived until July she and Mr. Bridges would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She has been an active worker in the Methodist church for more than half a century. Mr. Bridges is a retired conductor of the Santa Fe railway and has been a member of the Order of Railway conductors, chapter No. 265, at Chanute, Kans. for the last 42 years. Surviving are the husband, George T. Bridges; son, Walter Bridges of Great Falls; and daughters, Mrs. Harry Arneson of Great Falls, and Mrs. Walter Oliver of Big Sandy; and Mrs. Wilbur Blackwood of Buffalo, Kans.
