Description	:	Katherine Ruth Alexander, 90, of Napoleon passed away, with her loving children by her side on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Genacross Lutheran Home. Katherine was born on July 15, 1929 to Frank and Katherine (Damman) Gerken of the Okolona area. Katherine attended Florida High School and graduated as Valedictorian in the class of 1948. She married Denver Alexander on April 24, 1954 who preceded her in death. Read More	Katherine Ruth Alexander, 90, of Napoleon passed away, with her loving children by her side on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Genacross Lutheran Home. Katherine was born on July 15, 1929 to Frank and Katherine (Damman) Gerken of the Okolona area. Katherine attended Florida High School and graduated as Valedictorian in the class of 1948. She married Denver Alexander on April 24, 1954 who preceded her in death. Katherine worked for Home Oil Company for several years; she then worked with her husband at Alexander Printing Services and later worked for Campbell Soup Company as a secretary. Katherine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon and was an active member of the church's Mission Society. She also was a member of the Napoleon American Legion Auxiliary, Post 300. Katherine enjoyed the simple things in life and was grateful for every moment she was able to spend with her family. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She liked to keep busy, loved to read and collected angels. She looked forward to traveling with her children and siblings. Katherine lived for her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her loving heart and devotion. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Katherine is survived by her children, Dan Alexander and Ann (Dan) Williams and grandchildren, Kyle Alexander, Katherine Williams, Alexander Williams and Lauren Williams. She is also survived by her brother, Henry Gerken. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Katherine (Damman) Gerken, husband, Denver Alexander and siblings, Fred Gerken, Sadonna Williams, Frank Gerken, Martin Gerken, Marie Bahler and Dorothy Drewes. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm at Snyder-Wesche-Hoening Funeral Home (830 N. Scott St.) of Napoleon. Funeral services will be Friday, December 20, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church (1075 Glenwood Ave.) of Napoleon at 11am with visitation one hour prior to the services. Pastors Logan Scheiwe and Peter Marcis will be officiating the services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery of Napoleon. Memorials in Katherine's memory may be made to the Mission Society of St. Paul Lutheran Church, St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon or the Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 300.
