Clay County News (Sutton, NE), Thursday, November 22, 1979 Katherine Frank Mrs. Katherine Frank was born March 29, 1887 at Sutton, Ne. She was a daughter of John and Margaret, nee Redinger, Ulmer. She later moved to South Dakota and lived there until 1952 when she and her husband returned to Sutton. Mrs. Frank was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church here. She was also a member in the Ladies Aid of the church. For about the past three years she was a resident of the Sutton Community Home. Though for some time she suffered from a heart condition, she was always spry and alert, and up and about. On Tuesday morning she suddenly took seriously ill. She was immediately transferred to Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings. The Lord came and took her to her eternal reward at about 5:00 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon. The Lord gave her the very high age of 92 years, 7 months, an 11 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl. Surviving her are three sons and three daughters. They are: Albert of Arlington Heights, Ill.; Erwin of Rogers, Ark.; Robert of Lincoln, Ne.; Mrs. Vera Eby of Rapid City, S.D.; Mrs. Clara Kirby of Denver, co.; and Alma Frank of Battle Creek, Mich. Two sisters also survive. They are Sophie Roemmich of Sutton and Ernestine Frank of Burke, S.D. There are ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 10, 1979 at the Emmanuel Reformed Church with Reverend Lloyd Gross officiating. Burial was in the Sutton Cemetery with Kohler Mortuary in charge. The Psalmist said, "For all our days are passed away in they wrath; we spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and of by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thing anger? Even so, according to they fear, so is thy wrath. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." Psalm 90: 9-11 .
