Katheryn Marie Ford was born on April 5, 1941, in Tipton, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Fell) Ford. She graduated from Muscatine High School with the class of 1959. She married Albert Delever and were later divorced. She married Gary Lee Vance on June 9, 1988, in Muscatine and they were later divorced. She was first employed with Louis Rich in Muscatine. She then became an CNA at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton, then an EKG Tech at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She was most recently employed with Tipton Senior Dining in Tipton from 1998, until her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed cooking for the diners on Sunday, visiting with some of the fellow diners and she truly adored every client on her West Branch, Meals on Wheels route. She had a gift for wood-working and refurbishing furniture. In her younger years, she would weave giant rugs on her loom. Feisty and funny and known for that ornery smile, Kathy will be remembered and missed by many. She is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Rex) Brees of Muscatine and Tammy Delever of New York; and one brother, John Ford of Ramona, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Henry Tank and one sister, Sandra Miller. Fry Funeral Home, Tipton
