Description	:	The little three year old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Brickell died last evening. The funeral services were held today at 3 o'clock at Americus at the residence. -Emporia Gazette, Monday, 27 Nov 1899 _____ A Large Funeral. Rice conducted the funeral. -Emporia Daily Republican, Tuesday, 28 Nov 1899 _____ Little Cathleen, the only child of Dr. and Mrs. J. P. [sic] Brickell, after a short illness died Sunday afternoon. Very few in town had heard of her illness until she was dead. Her parents supposed she had inflammatory rheumatism. Dr. T. Arthur Wright, of this place, and Dr. Foncannon, of Emporia, were called, and pronounced it to be a rare disease of the bone, which affects the marrow. Funeral services conducted by Revs. C. R. Rice and F. W. Wilson were held at the home Monday afternoon. Many were there to extend their sympathy to the grief stricken parents and friends. The little one was the idol of her parents and grandparents and a favorite with all who knew her.
