She was born in Stanton, NE, on May 29, 1923, the fourth of twelve children to Claude & Laura (Bond) Snyder. Read More	Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home Kathleen (Katie) June Kagle passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015. She was born in Stanton, NE, on May 29, 1923, the fourth of twelve children to Claude & Laura (Bond) Snyder. Katie was no stranger to hard work with younger siblings to look after and working to help support the family. After his service in World War II, William (Bill) Kagle and Katie were married. Surviving them are their five children, Patsy Rasmussen (Robert) of Pecos, NM, Bill Kagle, Jr. of Concordia, KS, Janet McKenna (Kenny) of Oklahoma City, OK, Laura Hopkins Cockroft (Richard) of Salina, KS, Lonnie Kagle of Concordia, KS, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, brother Duane Snyder (Dorothy) of Concordia, KS, sister Darlene Ellison of Jamestown, KS, and several nieces and nephews. Katie was preceded in death by husband Bill, grandson Eli Kagle and great grandson Clayton McGuire. In Katie and Bill’s retirement years, they were busy making handmade wooden crafts as well as Katie employing her sewing talents making dolls and bunnies. She enjoyed yard sales, taking rides through small town areas, cooking for everyone, working in her yard, enjoying her neighbors and hosting Saturday morning coffee and cinnamon rolls with family. Katie enjoyed the comforts of her home through the age of 91. The family extends a big “thank you” to extended family, friends, and neighbors who shared Katie’s life and gave their time and love to her. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm, Wed., Nov. 4, 2015 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Jim Winter officiating and burial following the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 am to 9 pm Tues. and Wed. after 8 am until the service time at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to Concordia City Park in care of the funeral home.
