Kathryn’s obituary, which I have transcribed below stated that she was married to Donald A. Fisher Sept. 30, 1928. Kathryn’s husband was Donald J. Fisher, and I do not believe that marriage date is correct. In the 1930 Census for Wapello County, Iowa, 15-year-old Donald J. Fisher, single, was still living at home in Ottumwa with his parents. --------------------------------- Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” September 9, 1982: Kathryn A. Fisher, 65, of 1614 W. Main died at 7:40 p.m. Sept. 7 in St. Joseph Hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Centerville to Frank and Teresa [sic] Kauzlarich. She was a member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church. She married Donald A. [sic] Fisher Sept. 30, 1928 [sic], in Unionville, Mo. Survivors: sons Richard of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Frank and Elton of Ottumwa; daughter Melinda Bogner of Martinsburg; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers Joseph Rock of Memphis, Tenn., Steve Rock of Ottumwa and William Rock of Canton, S.C.; and sisters Mary Holbrook of Bettendorf and Helen Archibald of East Moline, Ill. Service: 10 a.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Thomas J. Moranville officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery. The casket will be closed as the service begins. Memorial: to her church.
