Per her request, cremation rites have been accorded and private inurnment will be at Peoples Cemetery near Woodward. Kathryn was born October 3, 1916, in Boone County, Iowa, to Clifford and Margaret (Blaine) Phipps. She married August Bodansky on August 24, 1936, in Bouton. They made their home on the Bodansky family farm near Woodward where they raised their two daughters. August died of cancer in January of 1975. Kathryn was born October 3, 1916, in Boone County, Iowa, to Clifford and Margaret (Blaine) Phipps. She married August Bodansky on August 24, 1936, in Bouton. Kathryn was married to John Naeve until his death in 1990. Kathryn was a homemaker and had worked at the Woodward State Hospital for 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting and writing poetry. Kathryn also enjoyed playing the accordion and piano by ear. Kathryn is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Kevin) Nelson of Des Moines, IA and Dea Oellien of Salina, KS; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her brother, Harris Phipps of Manhattan, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, August Bodansky and John Naeve; sister, Beth Schwartz and her brothers, Jack Phipps, Bill Phipps and Jim Phipps.
