Kathryn Donovan was born in Wayne County, Illinois, February 14, 1859. Read More	WOHLENBERG, KATHRYN KATHLENE—Mrs. Fred Wohlenberg died at her home in Lincoln at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 1916, following a surgical operation, aged 75 years, 1 month and 24 days. Kathryn Donovan was born in Wayne County, Illinois, February 14, 1859. She moved to Beaver Crossing, Neb., with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Donovan in 1871, and the family soon after homesteaded in Fillmore County. She was married to Richard Wirts in 1877. In 1902, she was married to Fred Wohlenberg. She is survived by her husband; one son, Charles C. Wirts of St. Louis; her aged mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Donovan; five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Waite of Longmont, Col., Mrs. H. F. Tallmadge of Momence, Ill., Mrs. Lillian Donovan of Lincoln, Miss Winnie Donovan of Lincoln and Mrs. W. E. Porpst of Geneva. Mrs. Tallmadge was kept from attending the funeral by the serious illness of herself and her son, Floyd. Mrs. Waite was also unable to attend. Mrs. Wohlenberg was especially active in W.C.T.U. work. Short funeral services were held at the home in Lincoln Saturday morning, conducted by Dr. C. M. Shepherd. The body was brought to Geneva Saturday and taken to the Dr. W. E. Propst home. Services were held at the Methodist Church in Geneva Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock and were conducted by Rev. W. L. Austin. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery.
