She was born April 12, 1928, in Moulton, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Opal (Katter) Crusie. She married Carmon Diedrich on August 29, 1945 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1989. She is survived by her five children: Michael (Jane) Diedrich of Saint Marys; Edwin (Ann) Diedrich of Sebring, Florida; Terry (Chris) Diedrich of Coral Springs, Florida; Deborah (Hershel) Wright of Jackson Center, Ohio; Cindy Keeling of Saint Marys. She is survived by nineteen grandchildren; by numerous great-grandchildren; by four great-great-grandchildren; by one brother, Robert Crusie of Springfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: Bruce Diedrich; by a sister: Chesta Stienecker; by three great-grandchildren. Katie retired from the Saint Marys City School System, where she had served as a cook in the cafeteria. She was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in Saint Marys. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Funeral rites will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Dr. Ed Bray, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
