Description	:	Kathryn Rose (Bylund) Moravec was born on June 4, 1949, at the Jewell, IA hospital, the daughter or Edward LaVerne and Rose Marie (Hansen) Bylund. She was baptized on April 22, 1951 at the Lutheran church parsonage in Ellsworth, IA. After moving to Roland, Kathy attended school there until the family moved to the Bonwell farm one half mile east of Viola Center, IA. Read More	Kathryn Rose (Bylund) Moravec was born on June 4, 1949, at the Jewell, IA hospital, the daughter or Edward LaVerne and Rose Marie (Hansen) Bylund. She was baptized on April 22, 1951 at the Lutheran church parsonage in Ellsworth, IA. After moving to Roland, Kathy attended school there until the family moved to the Bonwell farm one half mile east of Viola Center, IA. Kathy was confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon on April 26, 1962, and graduated from Audubon High School in 1967. Kathy moved to Omaha after graduation and worked at NP Dodge Real Estate as secretary. Kathy was united in marriage with Ronald Dean Moravec, son of Emil and Elsie Moravec, on June 24, 1972, at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha. Kathy and Ron made their home in Plattsmouth, NE. Two children were born to this union: Melanie in 1974 and Nancy in 1979. Kathy was employed as a legal secretary for several law firms and in 1985 she began working for the City of Omaha as a legal secretary Kathy had to retire in 2002 because of failing health due to lung cancer. Kathy passed away at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha on September 8, 2004. Her memorial service was held on Saturday, September 11, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon, Pastor Frock officiating, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Edward LaVerne Bylund, in April of 2002. Survivors are her mother, Rose Bylund, of Audubon, her daughters Melanie and Nancy, a son-in-law Andrew Horel, one brother Larry and five sisters (Karen, Mary Anne , Cheryl, Carole, and Janet), several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
